Description

This 156 acre northern Michigan gem, with nearly one mile of undeveloped shoreline on Lake Michigan, was saved from residential development when GTRLC, the Jones family, and local officials from Banks Township and Antrim County came together to protect the property in 1994. The property has been owned and managed by Antrim County since 1996.

Antrim Creek is comprised of an incredible array of landscapes including hardwood forest, forested wetland, conifer swamp, shrub thicket, meadow, wet meadow, coastal dune and a portion of Antrim creek, including its mouth where it empties into Lake Michigan. The Natural Area offers a trail system, beach access, parking and bathroom facilities. For more information and trail map visit: MichiganTrailMaps.com
